The day of Simeon’s coronation had arrived, marking the dawn of a new era for the Kingdom of Bulgaria. Born under prophecy, Simeon stood at the threshold of his destiny. No longer the son of Boris, he was now the King — ruler of a kingdom on the brink of transformation.

Pliska, the ancient heart of Bulgaria, became the stage for the ceremony. The great hall echoed with the voices of nobles, clergy, and warriors — those who fought for the kingdom’s survival and those loyal to the Christian faith. As Simeon stood before them, anticipation was thick in the air. What kind of king would he become?

Bound by the weight of his father’s choices and the scars of a fractured royal family, Simeon faced the ultimate test: to follow in Boris’s footsteps and lead Bulgaria into a Christian future, or to chart a new course uniting old and new ways. With the crown resting upon his brow, Simeon was no longer a prince — he was a king, and the fate of a nation rested upon him.
