Youth Unemployment

Описание: The WHU course 'Global Societal Challenges and Solutions' is held in close collaboration with the Global Economic Symposium (GES). The Global Economic Symposium (http://www.global-economic-symposium.org) aims to identify global challenges, examine their policy and business implications, and formulate concrete action responses to them. In this seminar, students analyze current challenges of the global society and develop concrete measures of how to address these.
Each team provided an in-depth analysis of the underlying macro-economic factors as well as a concrete action plan, describing how their idea can be implemented. To convey their ideas to the GES and to a broader audience in general, the students also produced videos describing their specific idea.
The student team F. Griggat, C. Knopf, N. Marx and T. Rausch investigated youth unemployment in Europe and presented a specific solution of how to foster foreign apprentice socialization in Germany. The students suggest an internet platform that allows foreign apprentices to find a local buddy in Germany that helps them to find a job and to settle in Germany.
