This is the newest of the Contrail Rockets motors. This 20 inch long 54 mm motor is a full J-300 Black Smoke hybrid motor using 600 cc of Nitrous Oxide. This motor is internally vented so that the vent exits the motor through the combustion chamber. The 4 inch long Pleated 13 star grain increases surface area allowing this motor to out perform the 28 inch TMT certified motor. This motor develops 2.12 newtons per cc which outperforms not only all other hobby hybrid manufactures but also all existing Contrail Rockets hobby hybrid motors. This motor as well as additional motors in the 38 mm and 54 mm platform are pending TMT certification. Reducing motor and grain size while increasing performance allows prices to remain competitive with existing hybrid motors.
