Easy Prep of Vanadyl Sulfate & A Few Vanadyl Compounds

Описание: In this video I synthesize vanadyl sulfate using vanadium pentoxide, ~1.6M sulfuric acid, and a mix of methanol and ethanol (although pure alcohol will do). This is a MUCH easier method for making vanadyl sulfate than using sulfur dioxide gas or sodium metabisulfite as the reducing agent. I also made a few vanadyl compounds (ammonium vanadyl thiocyanate, tris(ethylenediamine)oxovanadium(IV), and what I think is vanadyl dithizonate).
