Father Edward Daleng is an Augustinian Friar from Nigeria who...builds bridges. The materials he works with are not cement, steel or wood, but dialogue, generosity and peace.
The bridges he and Apurimac onlus, the NGO of the Augustinians in the world, build for Nigeria's augustinian province are programs of intercultural and inter-religious dialogue in a state where intollerance and discrimination have taken over.
Today, after many years of hard work, the Augustinians in Nigeria and the Italian NGO are coordinating a network of 60 Nigerian associations working together to transform religion from an instrument of hate and death into one of freedom -- and a right for all.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
