HOW TO REBUILD YOUR KTM 300 TPI ( TOP END PART 1 - TEARDOWN)

Описание: Hey guys whats up, welcome back and in this video we are replacing the piston and exhaust flange, as well as installing an after market hr meter.
after its all tore apart ill be taking it to Andy Wells at Wells MotoWorx to get the cylinder vapor blasted and cleaned up.

I have right around a 120 hrs of hard riding on this piston, this bike get used year round and for ice riding/racing on creeks around Alberta, ice riding is hard on pistons and engines, so i recommend you change your piston before the recommended interval, or what ever you feel comfortable with.
A woods bike such as a 2019 KTM 300 is not meant to be rode wide open all day banging through the gears as you do on ice, i don't treat this bike nice in anyway when its working, thats its job but when the day is over and its comes into the shop it gets treated like royalty..i treat my equipment with the respect it deserves because why would you chance being stranded/bear food out in the middle of nowhere over something as dumb as preventable maintenance. lol

We will be changing the old broken exhaust flange that it patched up with JB weld, it held up really good actually, i'm impressed quite honestly.
check out our video of that fix, incase it happens to you, you might be able to get away with that patch.

BUY A FLANGE SAVER THE SAME DAY YOU BUY YOUR BIKE.
they should come factory in my opinion.

there are some concerns about this new exhaust flange not fitting up right but we'll see when i go to put it back together, concerns being that the flange and cylinder holes that the power valve sits in are
mated from factory possibly even the face, i dunno but were going to find out.
