I wrote this song after witnessing firsthand, in Steccato di Cutro, one of the many tragedies of the sea.
As a singer-songwriter, music is the only tool I have to help keep the memory alive—just as journalists, writers, and poets do through their own words.
In this song, I imagined a very young victim returning to the place where the tragedy happened, in the form of an angel. Standing there, looking at the sea—that same sea—she expresses her sorrow.
