Today, we arrive in the wild and rugged Westfjords, a place where towering mountains, dramatic fjords, and endless waterfalls create one of the most untouched landscapes you’ll find anywhere in the world.

Carved by ancient glaciers and home to some of the lowest population density in the country, the Westfjords feel like stepping into another world. Massive sea cliffs, winding coastal roads, and quiet fishing villages make this region a hidden gem for those willing to venture off the beaten path.

For today’s adventure, we’ll be hopping on a bus and making our way through this incredible landscape, stopping at a few scenic locations along the way before reaching the highlight of the day — one of the most remarkable waterfalls you’ll ever see.

Rising over 300 feet and spreading like a massive bridal veil across the mountainside, Dynjandi is widely considered the crown jewel of the Westfjords. The hike to the top takes us past a series of smaller cascading waterfalls, each more impressive than the last, leading to one of the most powerful and breathtaking scenes of the entire trip.
