Rescue workers continue to retrieve survivors in Indonesia

(1 Oct 2018) The search for survivors in the rubble of several Indonesian cities in Sulawesi continued Monday, following Friday's earthquake and tsunami.
Rescue teams removed large pieces of concrete and listened for cries from beneath the wreckage of homes, office blocks and shopping malls.
On Sunday, a woman called Hilda was pulled out alive from beneath a collapsed restaurant in Palu.
Her condition was described as critical and medics attended to her at the scene.
Rescue teams have been focusing on the nearby Roa Roa Hotel.
Indonesian media reports that rescuers believe at least two people remain alive beneath the crumpled structure and they are planning how to get them out.
Officials had estimated about 50 people could be inside.
The toll of more than 800 dead is largely from the city of Palu and is expected to rise as areas cut off by the damage are reached.
The magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck at dusk Friday and spawned a tsunami said to have been as high as 6 metres (20 feet) in places.
