Hill's ASL Bamboo Bow Pt. 3 - Initial tillering

Описание: While the glue-up of this ASL turned out good, it also turned out to be quite heavy in terms of draw weight. Even though Howard Hill preferred his bows in the 90+lb range, I am pursuing something more in the 50-60lb. range. Watch as I take this bow from warbow heavy to hunting bow class and make a few tillering corrections and rescues along the way. Don't miss the section about bamboo backing and the "scars" that are typical on the rind of the bamboo that look like major splinter hazards but are not a major issue in the finished bow.
