This time we decided to explore the world’s third largest island... Borneo! Intrigued by its ancient equatorial rainforests, spectacular jungle wildlife, rich indigenous culture and culinary melting pot, we were looking for something wild - Borneo sure did not disappoint! Come on an adventure with us as we explore Sabah, the Malaysian part of Borneo. We discover untouched primary rainforests, where you feel like you are in the Jurassic lost world; catch a glimpse in the dense canopy of wildlife such as the endangered orangutang and the cartoon-like proboscis monkey; learn about the heritage and old traditions of the Murut and the Kadazandusun tribes and admire the wide range of delicious cuisine of this magnificent island.

Our first step, the capital city of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu, known to the locals as KK. With some friendly faces, the small yet dense city presents a colourful grid of concrete buildings nestled between the waterfront and lush forested hills. You'll find a superb dining scene, from flavoursome street food to high end restaurants. Bustling street markets are definitely the highlight.
Not far from KK, we visited the Monsopiad Heritage Village. This village is based on the Legend of Monsopiad, a renowned fearless warrior and headhunter of the Kadazandusun tribe. This traditional village gives you an extraordinary insight into their ancient and mystique culture.
