Kol Hamesameach Worship War Dance
Song by Yossi Piamenta
Kol HaMesameach, also known by some as the "War Dance", comes from Jeremiah 33:10-11. "'...Yet there will again be heard here the sounds of joy and gladness and the voices of bridegroom and bride, the voices of those who sing, "Give thanks to Adonai-Tzva'ot, for Adonai is good, for his grace continues forever," as they bring offerings of thanksgiving into the house of Adonai. For I will cause those captured from the land to return, as before,' says Adonai."
The literal translation of the song is: "Those who make the bride and the bridegroom happy will gain five sounds. The sound of sasson (happy), the sound of simcha (joy), the sound of the bride, the sound of the groom, the sound of the grooms in their Chuppahs (weddings). It is a mitzvah to be joyful." - mayimchaim
