Описание: Welcome to my mead hall! Join me on this full moon to celebrate the great midwinter heathen festival of Geōl / Yule. It is a time for coming together with cyþ and cynn, feasting, drinking, making oaths and boasts, and also for making a sacrifice for a good crop.

In this 2023 Yule Special, I look at why Yule is actually on a different day each year and look at some of the histories which have influenced things over the years, from the Romans to the Norse sagas and the writings of the Venerable Bede.
