The Philippine Navy hit another modernization milestone with the successful live-fire demonstration of the Spike Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) missile system aboard BRP Albert Majini (PG909), scoring a direct hit on a target 24 km away during MISSILEX 2025 on April 23, 2025, off Mariveles, Bataan.During the exercise, the PG909 crew successfully launched two types of Spike NLOS missiles, a Fragmentation Missile and a Penetration Blast-Fragmentation (PBF) Missile, both hitting their targets with precision.The exercise also featured a Swarm Exercise (SWARMEX) with Brp Tomas Campo (PG908) and PG909, showcasing precise close-range firepower and tactical coordination using a 30mm Typhoon gun and two .50 caliber Mini-Typhoon machine guns, demonstrating superior firepower and tactical maneuvering in a real-world scenario.PN@126: Toward a Modern Naval Force Capable of Securing the State and Contributing to Regional Peace
