This video shows how to kit bash a 1:35 scale Tamiya Toyota Phaeton into an imagined 1930s rocket powered racing car, on a concrete banked racing track like Brooklands.
The model has a hidden working light inside the rocket exhaust. The kit is modified in shape, with a new air intake, single seat cockpit, new curved windshield. Th rocket motor is scratch built form wood, styrene Milliput and kit set pieces. The curved track diorama is made from XPS foam. The decals are from an Omnibus kit.
In this video, I show step by step how this model was built and painted, using an airbrush, Vallejo Acrylic paints and oil washes mixed from artist Acrylics.
