Early november 2023 i did a one-day-hike in the Netherlands. I walked 20 kilometers through the area called Reeuwijk Ponds. This is is a former municipality in western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The former municipality covers an area of 50.11 km2 (of which 11.89 km2 is water).
My starting point was hastrecht. From there i walked on polder roads to the north and reached the reeuwijk Ponds.

The best way to visit a country is by bycicle. Not too fast and not too slow. You experience your journey in an intense way. You feel the climat, you smel the landscape and you you are a part of it.
