A fire broke out at Russia’s key Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, with authorities claiming the blaze was caused by a Ukrainian drone strike. The incident adds to growing tensions in the region, as both sides continue to engage in cross-border attacks targeting critical infrastructure.

According to Russian officials, emergency services were deployed swiftly to contain the fire at the port, which serves as a major hub for oil exports and commercial shipping. Initial reports suggest damage to port facilities, though the full extent remains unclear.

Ukraine has not immediately commented on the claims, and independent verification of the cause of the fire is still pending. The incident underscores the increasing use of drones in the conflict, particularly in strikes on strategic and economic targets.

Novorossiysk’s importance as a logistics and energy export center makes any disruption significant, with potential implications for regional trade and global energy markets.
