Don't let 'the rules' get in the way of having a go! It's always a pleasant surprise to find a harvest where you thought you wouldn't get one, especially when it seems to 'break the rules' of what's supposed to happen. Yes, I neglected the potatoes (didn't even earth them up), didn't water much, left them out during the winter (I know, we are still in winter and if I left them longer, they may well have rotted), and still got a decent new potato harvest.
What will you be having a go at or harvesting this winter or next?
