BMW i8 in winter weather - Sport, eDrive, Comfort and All Wheel Drive

In this video, I take the BMW i8 out into the snow to see how it performs in Sport Mode, Comfort Mode and eDrive. The BMW i8 is an All Wheel Drive car but it doesn't operate as an AWD car in all of these modes. In Sport Mode, you get all time all wheel drive, but in Comfort Mode and eDrive, you get Front or Rear wheel drive depending on the settings. When you lose traction, the other axle kicks in to help maintain control. Watch as I test each of these modes with traction control on. I then do some donuts with traction control completely off to see how the car performs. All tests are done with the BMW i8 riding on Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires, which are all season tires designed for Dry / Wet / Snow, thus the DWS.
