Описание: Welcome to cruise season on the Isle of Anglesey. The island itself, which sits off of the North West coast of Wales, is a very wet, windy and baron place to be in the winter. The spring and summer however, are transformative, and many of the locations here can look like exotic places across the world. Mountains, forests, rivers, cool calm waters, whether they are on rivers, or in the sea, and stunning, long, incredibly clean beaches.

When spring comes then, we welcome cruise ships to Holyhead port, usually up until around October.

This is the Viking Venus, and is one of a number of ships similar (like the Viking Jupiter), that we have already filmed over on North Wales Boats and Planes. You can see the Jupiter here:

Holyhead port and harbour are two of the most unexpectedly beautiful places on the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Môn). It's a port that saw its opening in 1880, with the breakwater being finished in 1873.

The port is currently managed by Stena Line, and has a wealth of history, as well as an immense amount of scenery and wildlife. It's not uncommon here to see dolphins, porpoises and seals, among the many sea birds in the area.

We usually film at the port in Holyhead for our sister channel, North Wales Boats and Planes. Please go and check it out if you're interested in amazing Marine and Aviation machines and engineering.
