As we're gearing up for the holiday weekend what better side dish to bring to the party than a big bowl of Mashed Potatoes. Simple dish that can be made in 30 minutes!
The Perfect Mashed Potatoes
Yields 4-6 Servings
2 lbs Yukon Gold Potatoes
8 tbsp (1 sticks) Butter (Room Temperature)
Sour Cream (Room Temperature)
Kosher Salt
Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
Add-Ons:
Truffle Oil and Chopped Herbs
1.Peel the potatoes and cut the potatoes in quarters.
2.Add the potatoes in a pot of salted water and boil the pot in high heat.
3.When the potatoes become fully soft, take it off the stove and drain the water from pot.
4.Mash your potatoes with a masher or a ricer, while adding butter to the hot potatoes.
5.When the potatoes are fully mashed, fold in your sour cream.
6.After adding your sour cream, season with salt and pepper.
7.If you want, you can any add-ins like Truffle oil, chopped herbs, roasted garlic, cheese, etc.
8. Plate up, serve, and enjoy!
