Australia’s public schools are at a low ebb – year on year for the last five years there has been an exodus to private schools even as cost of living pressures have soared.
For the first time, public schools in big cities are facing closure as research supplied exclusively to 7.30 reveals how likely students from both systems are to end up with a university degree.
