Why can't light escape a black hole?

Описание: If light is the fastest thing in the universe, then why can't it escape a black hole?

This is because a black hole bends the space-time fabric so drastically that the escape velocity of a black hole is greater than the speed of light thus light once enters the black hole can not escape from it.
