The location formerly known as the COBAP Boxing Academy in Kampala, Uganda, has produced some incredibly tough boxers. Among them is a one so vicious that their nickname is "Ring Beast".
While "Ring Beast" is their nickname in the boxing ring, outside of it her name is Brenda Muduwa. Brenda is many things. A UBCL 50kg elite weight class champion, a plumbing student in a vocational institute, and an inspiration to other women in Uganda looking to take boxing as a sport.
Brenda doesn't just fight for championships, she's fighting to change perceptions in Uganda about boxing as a sport, and who's meant to participate in it.
