California Section D (Cajon Pass to Agua Dulce) is 112.5 miles.
April 23 - May 1, 2021
This section kept us on our toes, to include:
• Less than happy stomachs after our obligatory McDonalds
• Surprise hot chocolate and waking to a sea of golden clouds
• The friendliest, most helpful people in Wrightwood
• A frosty Baden-Powell summit
• Foggy road-walking around fire closures
• Miles on miles of bushwhacking through thorns
• A stroll through Vasquez Rocks before the mass of day-hikers inundated the area.
Thanks to Officer Brewer for checking on our group amidst less than ideal weather conditions, even going so far as to making sure one of our hikers made it safety back to town.
