Hanging baskets are a great way to elevate the elegance of your home and garden. In this video our Greenhouse Manager Amy goes over the basics of caring for your hanging baskets, including giving you some examples of which flowers can go where when it comes to sunlight.
Since hanging baskets are above the ground, they will dry out more quickly. So be sure to check on your baskets twice a day, especially if it's a hot summer day.
To check to see if your hanging basket needs a drink of water, simply put your finger into the soil. If the undersoil is damp and wet, it's fine for now.
If you would like to fertilize your baskets you could use a water-soluble plant food fertilizer twice a month.
Some plants may require deadheading. If you see any wilted flowers, simply pinch the flowers stem and pull it off.
