Описание: We show the operation of our pulse compression (pulse shortening) unit live with the Pharos UP laser from Light Conversion. The laser provides 90 fs and 300 µJ. After the compressor, we get 16 fs and 270 µJ. The output pulses are attenuated with the pair of fused silica wedges and sent into the D-cycle (D-scan) device to characterize the output pulses, the phase and spectrum. In this video, you can see the laser output beam profile live and the D-cycle measured live. The overall system is robust and stable. In the next video, we show how misalignment insensitive it is; we will remove it from the table and put it back. The system will still deliver 16 fs.
