Shivam Dube played one of the most explosive knocks of the series, smashing 65 off just 23 balls, but it wasn’t enough as New Zealand registered a consolatory 50-run win in the 4th T20I in Visakhapatnam.

Chasing a massive target of 216, India’s top order collapsed early with Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya falling cheaply. Walking in at 63/4, Dube launched a stunning counter-attack, bringing up a 15-ball fifty and keeping India alive for a brief period before a heartbreaking run-out ended the chase.

Earlier, New Zealand piled on 215/7 thanks to a century opening partnership between Tim Seifert and Devon Conway. Daryl Mitchell’s late flourish and disciplined bowling from Santner and Duffy sealed New Zealand’s first win of the series.
