Elijah Green exploded in the final 1:21 of the first half with touchdown runs of 30 and 66 yards, powering No. 2 Blessed Trinity to a thrilling 17-14 victory over Oconee County for the Class 4A state championship. Green, a North Carolina commit, carried 21 times for 203 yards. This marked the Titans’ third straight state title and the fourth overall for coach Tim McFarlin, who has led Blessed Trinity to a remarkable 43-2 record over the past three seasons.
No. 6 Oconee County (13-2) was led by Max Johnson, who completed 7 of 20 passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns. His younger brother Jake Johnson caught five passes for 50 yards and one touchdown, while West Weeks added a key 34-yard touchdown reception.
