Описание: As the Karnataka assembly elections draw closer, tensions are rising in the state's political sphere. The Janata Dal (Secular) has already released its initial list of 93 candidates, while the Congress has released two lists, containing a total of 166 candidates. However, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has yet to release a candidate list. This has created speculation and uncertainty among party supporters and workers.

Recently, an unofficial candidate list for the BJP was circulated, but party officials dismissed it as fake. The official list of candidates is expected to be released soon. The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai, and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa have traveled to Delhi to attend final meetings for selecting BJP candidates for the state's Assembly elections, which will be held on May 10.

A meeting was held at the home of BJP National President JP Nadda on Friday evening to discuss potential candidates. The meeting was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Election In-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, Co-in-charge Mansukh Mandavia, and Gujarat In-charge General Secretary Arun Singh.

According to party sources, the central committee of the BJP in Karnataka has chosen three candidates for each Assembly seat. These candidates will be presented to the Central Election Committee, and the party's top leadership will then finalize the nominees after discussing the names.

The BJP is aiming to hold on to power in Karnataka and is expected to face stiff competition from the Congress and the JD(S). The BJP has a strong presence in the state and has held power since 2008, except for a brief period in 2013-14 when the Congress was in control.

The Congress is looking to make a comeback and is counting on its traditional support base of Dalits, Muslims, and backward classes. The JD(S) is also expected to put up a good fight and hopes to emerge as a kingmaker if there is a hung assembly.

The upcoming elections are critical for all the major political parties, and they are making every effort to secure a win. The next few weeks will see intense campaigning and political maneuvering, as each party tries to outdo the other. The final outcome will be closely watched, not just in Karnataka, but throughout the country, as it could have a significant impact on national politics.
