We are proud to present "Dayada," a cinematic documentary produced by the Department of Multimedia Arts (DOMA) at the Faculty of Visual Arts, University of the Visual and Performing Arts (UVPA). This documentary, directed by Chamindu Jayasinghe, was brought to life by a dedicated team including Chamindu Jayasinghe, Udara Madushani, Supun Tharanga, Palitha Supun, Hansaka Nalin, Thiran Kalhara, and Gihan Mihiranga. "Dayada" explores the rich history and cultural significance of the Maradana street bookstores, which have been an integral part of the community since the early 1990s.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Samith S. Herath, the Head of the Department, and to Thanura Chamikara, Anuja de Silva, Sashika Theekshana, Mr. Darshana, and Mr. Susantha for their invaluable support and contributions to this project.
