I had this video set to private for a few years. Ever since I got into the ham radio hobby around 15 years old, I was impressed by the Advanced Computer Controls repeater controllers.
Being a kid with (no funds) I started building my own repeater controllers using PIC microcontrollers and Parallax Basic Stamps. This was back in the early 90s before Arduino. One was on the air for a while.
Now I look at ACC as retro - it's still amazing what these controllers could do. Picked this RC-96 up on eBay and sent this video back to the seller when it arrived. Still want to find all the ACC controllers the '850 and '85.
Now with the voice control work I'm doing I still find these early voice controllers incredible and want to put them on the air as a tribute to the folks that built it back in the day.
If you have any ACCs kicking around and don't want them let me know. I'll find it a place on the air again somewhere.
