LIST OF INGREDIENTS
1 ltr full cream milk
100g paneer
150 g sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp ghee
PROCEDURE
1.Start by boiling milk in a heavy bottom kadai. Stir the milk continuously & do not let the malai stick to the sides of kadai.
2. Add paneer, sugar and cardamom powder, when the milk reduced to 1/3rd in quantity.
3. After 10 to 15 minutes the mixture starts
thickening, at this stage add 1 tsp ghee and continue stirring.
4. Remove from heat when the mixture starts leaving the sides of kadai & becomes non sticky.
5. Pour into a greased mould. Let it cool down completely at room temperature and then refrigerate for 1 hour.
6. After taking out from refrigerator, put the mould in hot water for a minute for easy demoulding. Cut the kalakand into pieces and decorate with choice of nuts or silver foil, before serving.
