INTRODUCTION:
In a major breakthrough against organized crime, the Crime Branch,
Delhi Police has arrested two dreaded criminals associated with the
notorious Himanshu @ Bhau Gang after a brief encounter in the jurisdiction
of PS Baba Haridas Nagar, Delhi. The arrested accused were identified as
Vicky @ Mogli and Chander Bhan, they were actively involved in multiple
heinous crimes including murder, attempt to murder, and extortion. The
arrest marks a significant success in curbing the activities of interstate
criminal gangs operating in Delhi and Haryana. Notably, accused Vicky @
Mogli was carrying a cash reward of Rs. 5,000/- declared by Haryana Police
for his involvement in sensational murder cases.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:
On 22.01.2026, credible and specific secret information was received
by ASI Suresh Kumar regarding the movement of dreaded criminals, active
members of the notorious Himanshu Bhau Gang. The intelligence further
indicated that the gang members were suspected to be planning the
commission of a major crime in Delhi ahead of Republic Day celebrations,
posing a serious threat to public safety and security.Acting swiftly on this vital intelligence, a dedicated and highly professional police team comprising SI Anshu Kadian, ASI Suresh Kumar, W/ASI Narinder Kaur, HC Sandeep and HC Parveen was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Anil Malik, under the close supervision of Sh. Raj Kumar, ACP/WR-I, and overall supervision of Sh. Harsh Indora, IPS, DCP/Crime Branch.

On the intervening night 22/23.01.2026, at around 01:00 AM, with strategic planning and precise coordination, the team successfully intercepted a white Hyundai i-20 car bearing registration No. DL-9CAQ-7521 under the UER-2 flyover on Hirankudna to Dichau Village Road, Delhi. Upon interception, two notorious and dangerous criminals, namely Vicky @ Mogli and Chander Bhan, attempted to evade arrest and opened fire on the police party with clear intent to cause harm. During the encounter, accused Vicky @ Mogli fired two rounds, one of which struck the bulletproof jacket worn by HC Sandeep, narrowly averting a potentially fatal injury.

Displaying exceptional courage, presence of mind and unwavering commitment to duty, the police team exercised remarkable restraint and adhered strictly to established Standard Operating Procedures. In a controlled act of self-defence, SI Anshu Kadian fired a retaliatory round which struck the accused in his left leg, effectively neutralising the threat. The accused was swiftly overpowered and apprehended. Despite the life-threatening circumstances, the police team ensured immediate medical assistance to the injured accused by shifting him to Rao Tula Ram Hospital, Delhi, from where he was subsequently referred to DDU Hospital for advanced treatment, reflecting the professionalism and humane approach of the Delhi Police.

INTERROGATION:

During interrogation, it emerged that accused Vicky @ Mogli is a direct associate of Anil @ Tinu and Ankit @ Godhu, linked to Himanshu @ Bhau Gang. He is wanted in the following cases:

FIR No. 454/23, dated 14.11.2023, u/s 323/506/34 IPC, at PS Sampla, Rohtak, Haryana.

FIR No. 41/24, dated 31.01.2024, u/s 302/452/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, registered at PS Sampla, Rohtak, Haryana. In this case, victim Ashish sustained bullet injuries because of which he died on the spot.

FIR No. 155/24, dated 16.04.2024, u/s 148/149/302/307/120-B IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Meham, Rohtak, Haryana. In this case, two
