The cruise control system uses a number of components in order for it to work correctly. There is the cruise control main on/off switch, cruise control set/resume switch, cruise control actuator and the cruise control actuator cable. We can test each component independently and verify it is working correctly. This video should help if the cruise control cannot be set, cruise control can be the indicator light does not go on, cruise control speed is noticeably higher or lower than what was set, speed fluctuates on a flat road with cruise control set, vehicle does not accelerate or decelerate when set/resume button is pushed, set speed does not cancel when main switch is pushed off.
