Описание: Altmühlsee or Lake Altmühlsee is a lake located near the town of Gunzenhausen in Bavaria, South Germany. The Lake was artificially created in order to create a reservoir for the surrounding towns and villages.
The construction of the lake began in 1976 and it was finally completed in 1985. The Lake has an estimated 13,8 Million Metric Tons of fresh water, a surface area of around 4,5 square km.
The Lake also has a very famous Bird Sanctuary in it which is actually a group of small islands. There is also a small beachfront for the people to enjoy.
