When do You Get Your Money After Winning Your Disability Case?

Описание: After your disability hearing, you can expect to wait anywhere between 3 weeks to 3 months for a written decision. Hopefully that decision says "fully favorable" or at least "partially favorable." (If it says "unfavorable decision" that means you lost.

Once you receive your favorable decision, your file will be sent to a payment specialist for processing. Assuming no problems you can expect to see your money in two to four weeks.

Any longer than that, then there may be a problem. Problems can arise from such things as the presence of a workers' compensation claim, an SSI claim that was filed along with your SSDI case, substantial earnings after onset, immigration issues or sometimes good old government red tape.
