Описание: Today we are driving the 2020 Cadillac Escalade Platinum. Even though this Escalade isn’t brand new, it still offers plenty of style and luxury. The Escalade is powered by a 6.2L V8 making 420 horsepower and 460 pound feet of torque. That was the only powertrain option you could get back then. It is mated to a 10 speed automatic transmission and can get about 18 MPG combined. It offers decent power and is the all American V8 people know and love. It makes a nice sound and is pretty refined. The ride quality isn’t so great, however. This previous generation Escalade is based on a truck platform and has a solid rear axle, which is great for off road capability but not so great for a good ride quality. The bumps are pretty defined and it isn’t necessarily a luxurious feel. This also causes the third row to be very uncomfortable and very little trunk space behind the third row. The new generation of Escalade has an independent rear air suspension and a magnetic ride control, making the ride quality amazing and offering plenty of space in the third row, even for the standard wheelbase model. The amount of wind noise is entering the cabin is pretty impressive considering how boxy the Escalade is. There is still a little entering the cabin, but it won’t disturb you. Overall, this previous generation Escalade is still very luxurious and is a big statement piece, even though it doesn’t have the latest technology and big screens. If you want the ultimate Escalade experience, however, you will have to get one that’s newer than 2020. Thanks for watching!
