In this inspiring interview, we sit down with Melanie Davis, a Hitchcock High School senior and part of the Collegiate High School program at College of the Mainland, which brings together top students from across the region. Recently named Salutatorian with an incredible 4.89 GPA, Melanie truly represents what it means to be an all around student -balancing academics, leadership, and school spirit with grace and determination.
Beyond the classroom, Melanie is a powerlifter who has earned numerous medals, the drum major who led the band all the way to state, and a cheerleader for everyone around her, always encouraging her classmates to succeed. Through the Collegiate program, she will graduate high school with an associate degree and already has exciting plans ahead — and if those maroon and white colors are any clue, she knows exactly where she’s headed next!
