The Blitzkrieg was a tactic used by the German army in World War 2, using rapid, overwhelming force concentration with the intent to break through the opponent's lines of defense.
Tactically, it was mainly a coordinated military effort by tanks, motorized infantry, artillery, and aircraft to create a local superiority in combat power.
