Dr. Barry Kim is an Associate Professor of Water Engineering at the Water and Environmental Research Institute of the Western Pacific at the University of Guam. His research focuses on the fate, transport, and source attribution of emerging contaminants, particularly per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). He also works on water resource management using machine learning techniques and resilience-based approaches to address water pollution and sustainability challenges in island environments.
