Onimusha: Warlords (2001) was the first game of the Onimusha series published by Capcom. This enhanced HD version was released on January 15, 2019, with improved controls and a brand new soundtrack.

The setting of Onimusha: Warlords is 16th-century Japan, during the Nobunaga Oda-led civil war. You take on the role of Samanosuke Akechi, who perishes while attempting to halt Princess Yuki's capture. However, Samanosuke is given another chance at life and assigned to stop the demon invasion of Japan as well as the fearsome Nobunaga Oda.
