Fudoshinkai Dojo, Padova - ITALY
Born on 05.21.1963 in Padova (IT), in 1980 he began practicing Yoseikan Budo (style created by M Hiroo Mochizuki) with Master Massimo Griggio. After only one year and eight months of practice he achieved the rank of 1st Dan black belt. The following year, seeing that Yoseikan was the synthesis of some Japanese martial arts and some Western fighting methods, he decided to deepen his knowledge of the individual disciplines that made it up. ,
He began attending Wado Ryu karate, Judo, Aikido and kick boxing courses, as well as continuing to practice yoseikan budo.
He began his competitive career in Yoseikan budo and won the Triveneto and Italian championships in the kumite (fighting) category; he is selected for the Italian national team and wins the European team championship. In those years he increased his martial experience by attending many workshops in Italy and Europe with Masters of various disciplines, all linked to Japanese Budo. Through Master Lino Lacassia (technical director of the Italian Yoseikan Budo Federation) he met Master Shoji Sugiyama, 9th Dan of Aikijujutsu Yoseikan and first assistant of Master Minoru Mochizuki (founder of Budo Yoseikan and considered one of the most important Masters of the century) and becomes one of the most assiduous students. With M Sugiyama he began the practice of Budo Yoseikan (a discipline including Aikijujutsu, Judo, karate and Ken jutsu).
He assiduously followed M Sugiyama for years, becoming one of his closest students, participated in the seminars held in Italy by M Minoru Mochizuki in 1989 and in 1992 made his first trip to Japan (accompanied by M Sugiyama), a trip in which he went to practice at Master Mochizuki's dojo in Shizuoka, the Yoseikan Dojo.
In those years he achieved the degree of 3rd dan black belt in yoseikan budo and 2nd dan in kick boxing. He met Master Giuseppe Formenton (5th dan Shotokan karate) and was fascinated by his technical preparation and his fighting ability.
He abandoned the study of Yoseikan budo to follow M Formenton, began practicing Shotokan Karate with him and for the next 10 years followed him assiduously, becoming one of his closest students, receiving from him considerable preparation on a physical, technical and theoretical level. With Master Formenton he began his career in competitive karate, the "open kumite" specialty (fighting without weight categories); he wins the Triveneto championships several times and comes third in the Italian championships. Together with M Formenton he joined the JKA (Japan karate association), began to follow the courses of Master Yamada (technical director of JKA Italy) and participated in numerous stages in Europe with the Masters: Asai, Abe and above all with Master Mikyo Yahara ( selector of the Japanese national kumite team and legendary figure of competitive karate) who will significantly influence his fighting style.
Precisely during an internship with Master Yahara in Pordenone, in front of 100 black belts from all over Europe, he was chosen by the Master to demonstrate his favorite football technique (Ushiro Mawashi geri), he received public compliments from the Master who stated: " By continuing to practice like this, soon you will kick this kick better than me." Shortly afterwards, he was selected for the Italian JKA national team in view of the Shotokan karate world championships which were to be held in Athens, but he injured his knee ligaments within 15 days. before the race.
In 1992 he opened his own martial arts school "Bushido Academy" which became one of the points of reference for martial arts throughout northern Italy.
He continues to regularly attend seminars in Italy throughout Europe with some of the most important masters on the international scene.
For Shotokan Karate he works with the Masters: Yahara, Asai, Abe, Tanaka, Ochi, Donovan, Valerà, Lavoratò.
Master Kokubo (first assistant of Master Higahonna) for the Gojiu Karate of Okinawa.
Currently Master Tussardi is:
8th Dan in Shotokan karate,
Mokuroku from Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu,
8th Dan of Ko Budō Yoseikan,
3rd Dan of yoseikan budo,
2nd dan in Kick Boxing.
