Описание: 福井県大野市の南東に位置する荒島岳は、標高1,523mと高くはないありませんが、大野盆地からすっくと立つ風格ある姿から「大野富士」と称されています。登山道を覆うブナ林、カタクリやリンドウなどの花々、山頂を彩るお花畑と見どころも多くあります。独立峰で四方にさえぎるものがないので、山頂からは御嶽山や乗鞍岳、白山連峰などの大パノラマが眺められます。初夏の花、秋の紅葉のほか、ブナ林の樹氷が見られる厳冬期も美しいです。
Located southeast of Ono City, Fukui Prefecture, Mount Arashiyama is not particularly high at 1,523m above sea level, but its stately appearance rising straight out from the Ono Basin has earned it the nickname "Ono Fuji." There are many things to see, including beech forests that cover the hiking trails, flowers such as dogtooth violets and gentians, and flower fields that decorate the summit. As an independent peak with no obstructions on all sides, you can see a grand panoramic view of Mount Ontake, Mount Norikura, and the Hakusan mountain range from the summit. In addition to the flowers of early summer and autumn leaves, it is also beautiful in the harsh winter when you can see the frost-covered trees in the beech forests.
