TATIGUDA WATERFALLS


at a distance of 30 km from Araku, 3 km from Anantagiri village, Tatiguda waterfalls, also known as Anantagiri Waterfalls is a charming waterfall situated near Anantagiri town in Vizag district of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the best waterfalls in Araku and also one of the top tourist attractions in Araku.
This fascinating waterfall is in Ananthagiri which is 3100 feet above sea level.
The Thatiguda Waterfalls is fast emerging as a must see tourist destination in the district. Situated on the Gosthani river,
the waterfalls has towering rocks on the one side and lush green fields on the other side.
The water gushes down in several steps making it a wonderful sight to behold and this is a perennial waterfall

With a height of about 100 feet, Anantagiri falls offer best views in monsoon season. The best way to reach these waterfalls is by walking / trekking from Anantagiri. The falls is about 1-2 km away from the main road between Anantagiri and Araku Valley (after about 1.5 km from Anantagiri). from Anantagiri main road which takes about 20 minutes to reach tatiguda water falls.
The rocks near the falls are very slippery and should be careful while getting on to the rocks.

• There are many buses that ply from Vishakhapatnam to Araku Valley. Private bus operators run Deluxe as well as Volvo buses to the hill station

• There is a railway station at Araku Valley and a passenger train leaves daily from Vishakhapatnam railway station for Araku Valley

• Araku Valley does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is Vishakhapatnam Airport situated about 112 km from Araku Valley.


• The airport has two terminals and receives only domestic flights. The nearest international airport is the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad and pre-paid taxis are available from the airport.
