Oguri McQueen is a real racehorse whose name immediately stands out to Umamusume fans. He is sired by Ginza Green Grass, a son of Mejiro McQueen, and his dam’s damsire is Oguri Cap. His birth was reportedly an attempt to preserve the McQueen / Byerley Turk line.
Recently, Oguri McQueen has been reported as retired or leaving his current NAR trainer. With both Oguri Cap and Mejiro McQueen being hugely popular Umamusume characters, it’s fascinating that a horse connecting both names actually existed.
