Preparing bee hive for winter? In this video, I go over the importance of feeding your bees in the fall to reach your desired food store weight. Here in Ohio, I like to have 100 pounds of food store per hive for the bees to survive winter. Without the appropriate amount of food your bees will die.
Talk to local beekeepers to determine your food store weight for winter in your area. If your not sure where to turn to then Google+ has plenty of great beekeeping communities. You could join one and possible find someone close to you to ask.
