Gypsy is back on Broadway with six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald leading the revival as the iconic Rose.

In addition to McDonald, Gypsy, directed by six-time Tony Award-winning director George C. Gypsy is a renowned Broadway musical based on the memoirs of legendary burlesque artist and stripper Gypsy Rose Lee. It tells the story of a stage mom, Rose, in the 1920s and ‘30s seeking stardom with her two daughters, June and Louise. Relationships strain and the highs and lows of stardom are revealed as they navigate the vaudeville and burlesque circuits. Mother Rose is forced to reconcile her own dreams of fame with her daughters’ desires for anonymity in this story of sacrifice, ambition, and family relationships within the entertainment world.
