MANILA — Senatorial candidate Bam Aquino said late Monday that his camp is surprised with his initial placement at the second spot of the senatorial race.
He added that he did not expect to take one of the top spots and just initially wanted to be included in the magic 12.
"Syempre nagulat kami with the high standing. Earlier today, we were hoping na sana mag-8 tayo or mag-9 or 10," Aquino said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
"Nakakatuwa itong nag number 2 and hitting very good results in many areas in Luzon and Visayas," he added.
As of 10:47 p.m. of May 12, 2025, Aquino is at the second spot with 19,867,083 votes.
