Hey Designers! Today I breakdown how I created the speaker grill for my gesture controlled smart assistant concept, designed for Render Weekly towards the end of last year.
The video covers a CAD / KeyShot tutorial and I demonstrate how easy it is to create customisable mesh. I find this particularly useful when I'm exploring design possibilities.
I also wanted to mention is that it is possible to skip the CAD by just duplicating the outer part in KeyShot and decreasing the scale of it, so it fits inside.
And always model to scale lol I don’t think I did when I created this model as I worked in the wrong units. 😂😭
